Rina Daya

About

Rina is a Registered Social Worker who brings both clinical training and lived experience to her work with clients facing infertility, pregnancy loss, and complex family dynamics. After her own experience with secondary infertility and a failed round of IVF, she went on to have twins, and that journey continues to shape how she shows up for the people she works with today.

Rina has a particular focus on supporting South Asian couples navigating infertility, where cultural expectations and family pressure can add another layer of weight to an already difficult experience.  Whatever brings someone to therapy, Rina creates a space where they can say the things that feel too hard to bring up anywhere else.

Approach

Rina integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is continuing to grow her toolkit with training in IFS, Psychodynamic therapy, and DBT. She holds space for clients to process what they don't feel they can bring to anyone else, reflecting their strengths back to them and collaborating on real, practical next steps.

What to expect

A session with Rina feels warm and unhurried. She listens closely and asks thoughtful questions that open up deeper insight and growth, and she's invested in helping clients build a plan for what comes next, along with practical tools for managing anxiety and stress. She loves when clients leave feeling lighter, and truly heard.

• Bachelor of Arts in Education, Empire State University

• AMI Montessori training, Foundation for Montessori Education

• Certificate in Narcissistic Relationships and Emotional Abuse

• Certificate in Palliative Hospice Care
